Why or for what you read?
Reading is essential to humanity. Besides being a social requirement, reading is a great exercise. We exercise our knowledge and acquire new ones. Reading creates knowledge and through it we discover new worlds, learn new experiences and seek different cultures. It is a magical universe, where anything can happen. Reading is an art, and the curiosity that we have leads us far beyond what we can imagine.
Music
"Music produces a kind of pleasure without which human nature cannot survive."And does not. Music creates memories; some of these make people forget their problems, even if only for a few minutes. It causes us to reflect on the facts of life. It makes us cry, entertains us, welcomes us. Music has the power to change our thinking, whether in relation to a near future or a distant past. Music has the power to offer pleasure to those listening to it.

The Lecture
The lecture on 10 November was interesting, but at the same time tiring. The positive points for me were that some points were effectively defended by the students of the Master's course. The chance for people who were watching to ask questions was also a good point; it was rather helpful for people to leave with no questions about the lecture. The times I did not like: lack of structure of some students. I found the Portuguese students were better prepared. The English were found wanting because their defense issues were a little outdated, the students were nervous, and a student especially without any structure to deal with the public and with little preparation to be a good teacher. Their advisor should have prepared her students better.
